Text block a bit toned at extremities. Chef Phil and his new wife live in New Orleans. Phil’s happy, even his new wife’s kids seem to like him. That’s nice because their father was a very popular Cajun musician who was killed in a car crash. Things are cool until weird things start happening to and around Phil. His cat develops the ability to come through locked doors and what appears to be the ghost of the dead musician seems to be haunting a number of everyday objects. The ghost’s presence becomes stronger. Experts like exorcists and psychics are consulted to no avail. Phil’s beginning to think that he might be better off joining the ghost than battling the ghost. The ghost seems to think the same thing and Phil and his new family become completely unnerved. Harper’s third novel looks like fun and like one that may slip by the horror community. Harper: the other spooky writer from New Orleans. #74139
