It’s one of those touching and funny novels. Don’t write this one off. This Jewish kid has a number of problems: He’s got a stutter and has a hard time with words. His mother and father and sister are all big time word people. He finds this frustrating. He’s also the Jewish kid on an otherwise all black basketball team. He ran for class president and lost. Life looks pretty bleak until he learns to communicate in other ways. This one got some good reviews and looks like fun. #5924
