A first novel. Signed by the author on the title page. Ensworth Harding is the son of a very wealthy man. He’s sort of a country-club slacker. On his eighteenth birthday his father points him down the road with instructions to deliver a letter to an address in Savannah. He’s to perform this chore or his father will disinherit him. Ensworth falls in with a seedy character known only as Lord Baltimore. Lord Baltimore is a Keds-wearing, unkempt, “gentleman” who seems to be both mystic and criminal. These two unlikely companions endure a creepy sheriff, a hurricane, a one-armed Scotsman, a professional boxer turned evangelist, a witch doctor, the ghost of dead slaves and other colorful characters on their way to deliver the letter. Ensworth has numerous revelations of many different varieties and walks the thin line between the real and the fantastic. #64062
