Farley's Jewel

PBO,

This novel begins with a big dog vomiting all over the floor. Sorry, I gotta love a novel like that. Farley’s jewels are those issues of life and death he turns over in his heart “polishing them like a jewel.” Hampering this action are his kids, the aforementioned dog, a wandering eye, a jealous wife, a mother with Alzheimer’s, and a paper he’s writing attempting to fit Heidegger’s notion of Dasein into a computer model and other day-to-day obstructions. Farley spends time thinking about beer, baseball and golf too. He’s a pretty interesting guy and this book vibrates slightly with a very positive vibe. #5915
