Imagined Slights

First edition, TPBO, Trade paperback, Fine,

Based on a reading of an earlier work by Lovegrove (DAYS) and some correspondence, I’ve come to revere the guy. He’s seen some exceptionally good ink and seems to genuinely care about the state of indi booksellers. I like him and his work. This new one is the story of three rather unusual people that lead three rather unusual lives: The kid that wishes for a pair of wings so that he’s set apart from everyone else, the man that may have discovered heaven right here on Earth in a London park, and the woman that has waited patiently for a very special man. . . for fifty-two years. Lovegrove is hard to classify - part Clive Barker and part William Goldman. I recommend him with enthusiasm. #16498
